Echoing and deafening,
There is naught left but roaring, painful silence.
Slowly yet methodically,
It steadily erodes the very fabric of human essence.

Ready to drown and consume,
Yet, immune to the rush of times steady flow.
Being complete and absolute,
While giving the watcher a despondent show.

Bittersweet caress,
Of memories disconsolate and barren tenement.
Imperturbable ivory wings,
Promising an escape from this perpetual torment.

Reproachful accusation’s,
Seeking release from anamnesis recollection’s.
Impressions retarded,
Leaving silence of an effervescent domination.

Prerequisites forgotten,
In the exodus of replenishing expectancy’s ardor.
Tranquillity’s repose,
Remembrant of a scorched and splintered harbor.

Release forbidden,
Silence’s eternal peace offer embraced,
Silky quiet,
These binding bonds finally escaped.
