Let's Go Steelers!
I love football! Last night was a great start to the 2006-2007 Steelers' football season. Sad that Ben wasn't playing but Batch did his thing. He's a nice second to have in a pinch. In a pinch mind you, he had way too many 'rookie' mistakes to take over completely. I found myself yelling at him to just 'throw the dam ball'. What can I say I'm used to Ben's fast moving hands and drives. It was good first opener though, great defense. They won the game for sure. Sad moment was not having the Bus there on the field. There were a few plays where he could have been used...that fumble was one place. Ahh I miss the days when the Bus would just drive it in. There is hope for a mini-van though- Washington maybe.
Shocker of the night (other then the fumble and the missed pass interference flag)...Wes Welker. Miami Dolphins back-up receiver. Talk about a great talent!Sucks that he's on a loser team like Miami. He made me curse the tv a lot last night. That punt return was crazy amazing! I hope he gets traded to a better team...we could use him.:) Shocker two of the night...the delayed challenged on Miller's touchdown. I'm all for winning the game but I'd like to do it without a questionable play. Miller should have been marked at the Goal and 1 yard line--we all saw the replay. Sabar (Miami's head coach) waiting so long to make a call was crazy! You don't hesitate in football--that's how you lose games. He proved that by he's lame ass throw of the challenge flag. I was glad we got another touchdown after that. If nothing else we made sure to win. Overall it was a great game. Many 'WTF' moments spiced with 'OMG YEAH's.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE football...I think this should prove it.
Congrats to my baby brother--he was selected as the captain of the varsity football team for the defensive line. I guess the kid does have skill. He won't just be sitting on the bench and passing out water. His first real game is tonight verse none other then Kent Island High School Bucs--yup that's my high school. I feel bad for him. No one wants to lose a game ;)...ha it'll be a amazing game. Details to follow.
