My dad is taking me to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie this afternoon!! =D
I defy the world and claim the right to be ridiculously happy. Going to see movies in the theater is a rare occurrence -- rare meaning this will be my third such experience in my young life.
Actually, the lack of movie-going experience doesn't bug me. I think I enjoy it more than the average person simply because it is such a treat.
As to the problem of the much-lamented disconnect between the title of the movie and the main character, I think in this case the disconnect is to my advantage. I think I can separate my beloved Holmes from this new 'Holmes' in my mind enough to enjoy the movie. The canon will always be here when I get back. ;-)

On another note, I must finish the second scene for my PaSFO today, or... the deadline shall arrive, and I shall die. I already had the scene mostly completed, but it was more than 100 words too long, and having written it as tightly as possible in the first place, I thought it would be easier to start over and portray a shorter span of time. Problem is, each time I sit down to write these characters, they become more interesting and demand more words.
