What's right?

Someone asked in a community how you can know which beliefs are right. This is what I had to say, in case anyone else needs to know.

That's a really good question. Especially for someone of no beliefs. I guess you have to mix your common sense (what you believe to be right based on life and experiences and feelings of your own) in with the beliefs. I personally am a Christian. How do I know it is right? I just know. And I believe that if I want it to be true...then I believe it is true. Christianity I have found to be of the purest and greatest religions out there. God has proven himself to me in so many ways, and made me complete. It's not natural. It's supernatural.
What do you want to believe? Maybe you don't know. It's really a personally choice and conflict within a person. But, I tell you this, think about that if you believe that you die and having eternal nothing, and then you die and find that there is a Heaven and Hell, you lose everything. But if you believe in Heaven and Hell and stay true to Christianity and die and learn there's eternal nothingness, you gain nor lose nothing. And if they do exist...you gain everything.

"Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a person has to believe in the most."
-quoted from the movie Secondhand Lions
