Today, due to the elections, I had off from school. And it was very nice. I went shopping with my mom and got lots of clothes as well as a cute watch and purse. I bought quite a few skirts and I'm excited to wear them. I love clothes. Don't you?
Brittany and Lace have informed me that this guy named Tiger is interested in "hooking up" with me. In a way, it's amusing because we've only seen each other once and that was really close to a year ago. But he said he remembers me from then and Brittany showed him my Homecoming picture from October of this year. Interestingly enough, Tiger claims that he and another one of Brittany's friends, Tim, said that I'm "hot" and they were surprised that I'm not talking to anyone. I admit that I'm flattered to hear that because I hardly ever hear it. But there's one catch to this whole situation. Tiger is.. well.. he's black. And that causes some complications. For one, I'm not really into interracial dating. And for another thing, neither are my family and most of my friends. But Brittany has been trying to get me into "talking" to him for the last couple of days. I just got off the phone with him not too long ago, and as much as I'm embarrassed to say this.. he's very sweet. He's just.. I don't know. Black! And I've been raised to not date anyone out of my race. It's just the way my family is. It's just the way most of the south is. But I don't know. I'll just see how things go. I don't even know the guy well enough, so I'm not going to start getting all uptight about it.
Speaking of uptight.. the election coverage is currently making me all tense and twitchy. Everytime Bush wins a state I start groaning, my dad starts cursing, and my mom starts sighing. I hope I don't get ridiculed tomorrow by all of the people who are for Bush. Respect each other's opinions, people!
