This Key

This is a poem I wrote for my sister core for V-Day on monday. At the honor Academy you are put into cores and each core is like two rooms of interns. Each guy core has two sister cores who we hang out with a certain times and we treat them like they are our sisters. We gave them a neat looking key with each poem. Also we burnt the edges of this fancy paper that we used to print the poems on, so it looked really cool with a key and a rose on each poem on the table sounded with candles and no lights on. I love my sisters soooo much. Seriously, I've developed awesome friendships with girls while here at the Honor Academy.

Your pure heart,
Refined by a loving Father,
Cherished by your savior,
Has a key only you can give.

This key to your heart,
Give it to the Lord,
Guard it as a sacred jewel,
Unlock it only for Him,
As you pour out your love for the Son.

Brothers and protectors we will be,
As you hold on to this key.

This key is simple,
It stands for something great,
Representing your love,
For the one in which you wait.

This key,
You’ll give to your husband some day,
Wait on the Lord,
For He will bring a man of God your way.
