I preach what I wish I could practice.
Well I was going to update on what has happened since I last updated...but that was taking along time and I realized that nothing interesting has happened.
...until last night.
XBloodMoneyX needed a photographer. For those of you who don't know, XBloodMoneyX consists of Mikey G. HardcorePat(aka MetalPat) Dave Bazow, and Josh/huggie. I knew all these kids from High School, and I am/was close with most of them at one time or another. I offered my assistance with photography, since I've been shooting for about 4 years now and I worked for 2 organizations, one I am still currently working for, I figured I could do this.
Plus I grew up on Hardcore. I was really stoked about this. on the other hand, I haven't been to a show in a loooong fuckin time. In the past couple of years I went to a very small amount of shows and every show I went to I felt more and more out of the scene, and I saw a change in the scene for the worse from my perspective. I could be totally wrong, but it just seems liek the kindness and the welcomeing and positive attitudes have turned into cliques and fashion and so many things that the scene never was before.
So I'm trying to shoot the band the best I can, and I put myself right in the line of fire. It was my choice, and I wanted to stnad where I was and endure the hits. I knew that today things were different then they used to be the first hit I took. I punch right in the back from some dude and when i turned around I got no apoligy. I shruged it off and said "fuck it". Each bump, and each hit was the same, no sorrys just kids enjoying beating up on other people. I always thought it was a way to get anger out and to dance to the music, but now it seems like you just hit people and it's cool. back in the day if you hit someone, you said sorry, if you knocked them over, you picked them up.
So I was getting alittle pissed, but I was dealing with it pretty well. Then my camera got kicked into my face, I though for a second that my camera was broken, and I looked at the kid who kicked me and he didn't even try to apoligize or check if I was alright or anything. So without thinking, I pushed him and called him a fucker. Next thing I know I'm 1 feet back(I guess I got pushed or something, it all happend pretty fast) and alot of people are yelling, XBloodMoneyX stopped playing and HardcorePat looked like he was really pissed at me. So I just walked out. I figured get rid of 50% of the people fighting and the fight is over.
I went outside and realized I still had a job today and they got like three songs left. So I waited outside for a little to think about what just happened. Then the kid came out. I figured he was going to kick my ass. Either way i wanted to apoligize before he did so. he apoligized to and we went back in.
XBloodMoneyX seemed cool with it, HardcorePat and Mikey G. are probably pissed at me, but they were cool enough to let it go, David Bazow didn't seem to care either way and I couldn't really tell what Josh thought of it, either way I bounced after they were done.
So anyone interested in XBloodMoneyX; in about a week or so get look for some new pics.
Anyone who is XBloodMoneyX my apoligies once again, and let you dudes knwo when I get to the final prints.
