i wrote this poem tonight for one of my friends, i wont say who. i know it isnt in perfect tanka form but i like it all the same. i even impressed myself, heh ^^'

Wings of faith that guide us
------------------------------
Continually we fight the oncoming gales
Bodies tossed and torn
Hearts and minds ravaged from
The emotions that plague us
Will fading yet growing

But when the time comes
When we can hold out no more
We may fall into
The endless abyss of our fears and doubts
The shadows that fuel our sorrow

Falling and fading
Dying bit by bit yet never letting go
That light within our
Hearts and souls that fuels our passions like
The wind fuels the fire

And when the light behind the shadow
Calls to ones dear to whom it dwells
True emotions are unveiled
We let go of ourselves and
Take our leap of faith

When courage is shown
To the dark and the light
Awe-inspiring wonders that
Swirl around our souls and hearts
Like the autumn leaves that swirl in the wind

And with said leap
We reach out to those dear
Trying with all our hearts
Putting everything we have into that fall
And pushing away all fear

At last we are united
After playing our hand in deaths game
Our pair won against unreal odds
Our souls free to sing the medley
We call love

Like the eagles and the angels
Two fly high upon loves wings
Fueled by the fires of passion
By the fires of desire
To now fly free

Within a sweet embrace
Powered by a hidden emotion
One more powerful
Than any force known
We can finally rest once more
