The Silence of Fridays

There's nothing like reaching 75k on Bejeweled Blitz to calm a soul down.

Haha!

I don't know. I was just sitting here, with my sister and my parents asleep (my other sister is still out, partyinnnn'!) And then this thought occurred to me.

I love the silence of Fridays.

I think, for the most part, I'm an extreme introvert. I feel as if I can spend long days by myself at our house, immersed in nature, especially if I have the bare essentials. Like my planner (w/c I have just decorated today), my ever trustful 7yr-old 48pcs of Faber-Castell Colour Pencils (it was given to me as a gift way back in HS by my partyin' sister mentioned above), a computer or a laptop to type my stories in (gotta have some place to put those ideas), a book to read, my iShuffle (hehe) and a journal. Although in truth, I kind of find this notion ironic considering I like to blabber. I've realized I can be a talkative person when the situation calls for it. However... Despite that, I treasure times with myself and with this little thing called my soul.

Life gets so noisy sometimes. People drink (at 22yrs-old, I still don't understand why people think getting drunk is a good thing). People have wild crazy fun. People party. People sing, and dance, do karaoke and whatever. It's Friday night and it's a must to go out!

So, only a few people are able to truly calm themselves down, and...watch the world go by. The usual thinking is, ohno, the world is passing me by and I have to catch up! Well, I'd like to think life isn't like that. So what if we live once? You don't wolf down food without getting choked. You learn to savor every bite, learn each taste and instead of feeling full with a little nausea, you feel...extremely satisfied after.

That's why I'm learning to love the silence of Fridays.

While everyone's out making noise, I'll be here creating silence. ♥

I don't know where you are. I'm just here. It's you people who seem to disappear.

BUSINESS CONCEPT(S) FOR THE DAY: (Information Management)
In the field of computer security, phishing is the criminally fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. On the other hand, pharming (pronounced farming) is a hacker's attack aiming to redirect a website's traffic to another, bogus website. (Might I add that "pharming" is not what is being done on FarmVille. Haha!)

So, these were the issues being discussed in our InfoMan class after I arrived at 7:40pm for my 6pm makeup class *evil grin* The class started at around 7pm, I think, because by 6:20 the class president texted that it was only him and our teacher. At 6:45, there were three of them. At 6:50, there were four. At 7:40pm, there were six. Haha! I was the sixth student out of a total...9. Suuuch fun!
