that i'm amazed
you're okay with
complacency
because that's not
how our fore fathers
thought it should be
(turn off the TV)
but it hides
and it lies to you
like some dark
mystic tide
when will you make it right
when will you realize
with your words
thoughts and eyes
that they're wrong
dead wrong

your sick skin
let these words sink right in
let the healing begin
then you might see

i wrote this last night at like 5 am. i came up with the "dark mystic tide" part first, and if this is a song (which i really want it to be) i think that two lines before that would start the chorus, which will end with "dead wrong". i was really pleased with myself when i set the pen down last night. let me know what you think.
