Yesterday Snoopy sent me this public service announcement

Now I agree with most of this announcement and being a geek mother I recognize the seriousness of this issue. My children have been exposed early to Star Wars and Clone Wars is one of Drama Llama's favourite shows.
But this announcement did bring up an issue with my husband and I. Which order should the children be exposed to the Skywalker family? IV, V, VI THEN I,II,III OR I,II,III,IV,V,VI.
I am a purest and feel that the first option is the best. It insures that they KNOW that Han shot first, that Luke is a whiny prat in the beginning and leaves the shocking revelation of who is father and sister are.
But my husband thinks the children should be exposed in the order in which Lucas intended them (I - VI). Needless to say I am appalled and if we can't come to an accord this could lead to divorce. I have agreed to sidebar the issue for now, mostly cause neither of the kids could sit still to watch a movie, but we will come back to it later to make our decision.
I really should have asked him his opinion before we even had kids, but I was under the impression that he already felt the same way I did. Ladies and Gents - DO NOT make this same mistake. Even if you are sure ASK! Last thing you want is to find out their true feelings when it is too late.
Distraught and seeking support I shared my plight with Snoopy and he in turn asked "the Chat Room" what should be done. This was their reaction:
[09:14:04 AM] Snoopy: So, I may have unintentionally started an argument with CJL101 and Poeso that could lead to divorce (her hyperbole, not mine).
[09:14:35 AM] Kailara: But Snoopy...Friday nights! *mock dismay*
[09:14:40 AM] Kailara: What argument?
[09:15:15 AM] Kailara: And good morning and TGIF all round...
[09:15:18 AM] Snoopy: Well, the question arose of what order to show the children the Star Wars movies in... I, II, III, IV, V, VI or IV, V, VI, I, II, III?
[09:15:32 AM] Kailara: Oh dear...
[09:15:40 AM] Andrew619: Yeah. Tell that to the divorce judge
[09:15:47 AM] Kailara: You actually suggested showing them I, II and III?
[09:15:58 AM] Kailara: :P
[09:16:16 AM] Snoopy: Well, they should know the full story...
[09:16:31 AM] Kailara: This is like the argument of which order to read the Narnia books. The original order or chronologically.
[09:16:50 AM] Snoopy: For what it's worth, I'm on Poeso's side in this. The children should be exposed to Han Solo before Jar-Jar Binks.
[09:17:08 AM] Kailara: Hell yes.
[09:17:21 AM] gwenrose: i think we should never subject them to Jar-Jar
[09:18:14 AM] gwenrose: we should show them the origonal three and then when they are much older they should decide if it is worth the pain to watch I, II, and III
[09:18:48 AM] Snoopy: Well, we could show them the Magnoliafan edit of Episode I, which changes Jar-Jar's role quite a bit and cuts out a lot of his nonsense.
[09:19:10 AM] Snoopy:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Phantom_Edit[09:23:58 AM] Andrew619: I'd kinda actually like to see that
[09:24:21 AM] Snoopy: I've got it...
[09:25:48 AM] Kailara: They're going to think the effects are crap in all of them...so we might as well introduce the "classics" and then show them the pain of the newer ones. If we show them I, II and III first, they may decide it's not worth it to sit through IV, V and VI and we can't have that!
[09:26:34 AM] Andrew619: I'm with Gwen: IV, V and VI, then I, II and III
[09:27:34 AM] Snoopy: Good, so we're in agreement. CJL101 is wrong. :P
[09:28:19 AM] gwenrose: yep, so i guess we are all on Poeso's side
[09:29:46 AM] Kailara: Right. So argument solved...divorce prevented. Peer pressure will prevail. :P
[09:30:25 AM] gwenrose: oh good i was really worried we would have to choose sides
It's good to know that my friends will help me raise my children the RIGHT way if this does come to a separation.
