1. Hmm... I always use this one, I know, but I can't help it. I'll always remember when I first discovered you. I thought I'd found the Oscar Wilde of Heroes fanfics; and I still believe that. *loves* Oh, and, you got me to finally watch Oz, which is awesome. 2. I don't like to challenge people to writing fics, since that can be straining, so, let's see.... Get a new fandom icon that suits your mood at this moment in time and then show it to me. 3. Green. Exuberant, vibrant, and reflective. A creation of nature. 4. You're so damn nice! Many writers I know who are as talented as you, real life or otherwise, are conceited SOBs. You are not. You are sweet and encouraging, and your comments are always so helpful and supportive! You're one of the people I most respect and look up to in life. (I know I'd feel the same if I knew you in real life as well. You're just too awesome.) 5. This is going to sound weird, but, uh.. A dolphin. Playful, carefree (Though the threat to their environment may not be, but anyways..), but really damn intelligent. 6. Is there one tv show or movie you absolutely adore but are sort of embarrassed to tell someone? (You don't have to tell me the name, just say yes or no if you wish.)
I don't know what to say. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You're one of the first people who ever welcomed me and made me feel like I had a place in this fandom and I will never forget that.
So the icon that is attached to this post is actually one I just got this week (so I consider it new). It's from the show Friday Night Lights and it's this wonderful moment of awkward feet...you know when you're standing at the precipice of something new and good and you're uncertain but you also want to jump right in? I'm kind of feeling like that's my life right now. Things are good :-)
Here's the thing -- everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes. I've never understood why people have to be dicks about it. Being an asshole is overrated. I save that for people who deserve the attitude. In the end if peoples intentions are coming from a good place, that goes a long way with me. Hell, if I hadn't gotten such positive support from people like you when I first started posting I would have jumped ship and who knows if I would have kept trying my hand at writing. I appreciated the support to keep at it and try to do that for others.
I love dolphins so that's awesome :-)
Hmmm a tv show I adore but am embarrassed to tell someone...I still watch "Smallville". It's not a good show at all and it's destroyed what I liked about the Superman canon but damn it, I like Chloe and even though I kept rooting for her to end up with Clark, I find I'm rooting for her and Davis Bloom (Doomsday). The guy is far too strong an actor for this crap ass show. I'm embarrassed to admit that I still watch "Smallville". The thing is I used to love it (so that fits the "adore" part of your question) and then it...ugh...but I can't seem to walk away.
