Anniversary and Heroes_Slash Awards
Just for the sake of size, I'm lj-cutting this, woohoo! ^_^
Yep, it's February 12th, 2008 and on February 12th, 2007 "Run!" first appeared on NBC at 9:00. Yep, the beginning of the practically canon (in my mind and many others) Sylar X Mohinder that has come to be known as both Sylinder and Mylar. I first started lurking a couple weeks later or so, can't exactly remember when. Since then, I have met the greatest people I'll ever meet and have read the best fics I'm likely to come upon. So, THANK YOU MYLAR, for making my life a sweeter, darker, funner (And with Mylar, I CAN use all of those adjectives XD) place to live in. ^_^
So, I won, I'm really shocked! Slipping Away by Toestastegood won with me which I'm so happy about because she's a fantastic writer and I ADORED that one-shot! But I'm so honored, I still can't believe I was even nominated, it was so surreal. I'm just so happy I actually have people who like me, so thank you EVERYONE who has supported me all of this time! *hugs everyone in close proximity*
Also, Congrats to everyone else who won and those who didn't, even being nominated is an amazing thing. I did look through the winners and some, well...I don't think they deserved it as much as others, but that's life, right? Someone is bound to be disappointed.
And this little note is to one of my friends, you know who you are...Listen very closely
You are a fantastic writer. Just because you didn't win an award doesn't take away the emotion you can instill in peoples hearts and mind, the way you can make someone's heart pound in fear just by your words and the inspiration you've given me to keep writing. Saying that you suck is almost an insult to me because I look up to you so much. If I could only have an inkling of your talent, I'd be so happy. Please don't think you're bad because of some lost award. You have fans, you have people who adore your writing, don't EVER think you don't! I love you, and stay strong.
