not fair.. now I want that new bike..

This saturday I'm invited to join a group of cyclists to do a trip through the region, mainly on sandroads and gravel (and because our country is flat, no hills..) so I had to get my own atb in shape again (and myself..).
Last thing was easy, do some jogging, take the stairs instead of the elevator at work and cycling ofcourse. Still not really in shape but should be good enough to keep up with the rest (I hope).
The bike.. I have a Commencal Normal, old but trusty bike but it has it's problems. So last wednesday I t brought it to shop to get it fixed. Hydraulic brakes needed to be tuned, spokes fastened and the gear-system checked. No problem. Was fixed quickly according to the shopkeeper (whom also organised the trip and dragged me in) but the left handle for the brake.. broken beyond repair..
Somehow I had managed to flip the wheel in such a way that some bit in the handle broke during a previous ride. New part for that had to be ordered and no way it would get here in time to fix it. And without that brake it's madness to go fast on it so the owner proposed that I would borrow a bike he had so I could join in on the trip tomorrow. I expected some rundown 2nd hand bike but he offered to lend me a brand new one.. (it's his own spare cycle, assembled last week)
Picked it up this evening and did a quick lap around the block and daaammnnnnnn... that bike is gorgious ^^
It's a German build Stevens' Manic and it's just great, buildquality is superb for it's priceclass, brake/gear/shock system works ace and it's a bit lighter then my current one. And now I want it ; ;  But no funds for it ; ; It's a ~ 1500euro cycle (fully fitted, some stockparts replaced with better ones)  but even the stock-cycle is just ace (  ~  1200 euro) . Still can't really believe that he *just* lend it to me.. when I got home first thing I did was putting a big lock on it hehe. Major improvements over my own bike are the frame wich is more sturdy with better welds, frontshockabsorber that can be locked, gearsystem wich is higher from the ground causing less change on damage when cycling through the woods and the hydraulic breaks wich are sealed better so less change on fading.
I want! I want! I want ! ^^;;   (I hope I won't scratch it tomorrow ^^;; )

Btw, grats for Germany for killing the Portuwhiners!!!!!!
