While I enjoy my job, even despite its zillion transitions
because a ton of people are leaving the company,
more and more I've been thinking about going back to grad school.

I don't think I could ever afford going back to UofC
unless something amazing happens.
This brings me to two points:

1~> I'm seriously considering going on _Deal or No Deal_.
This is partially due to my crush on Howie Mandel,
but moreso because if I take home $200,000
I could pay off existing student loans *and*
foot the bill for my 9 months at UofC.
This would be better than winning the lottery, even,
because my odds are better, and because I don't need millions--
only roughly $200,000.

2~> I've been considering applying/going to UIC.
There are cute little really cheap apartment units
near where I grew up (roughly a 30-minute drive from UIC),
for which my name has been on the waiting list for over 2 years.
I could live there (assuming my name comes up relatively soon),
commute, teach, let them pay for my degree, be close to my suburban friends,
occasionally catch a movie/lecture at UofC, and get closer to my doctorate.
This is probably the more realistic of the two points.

I still haven't looked up any info about UIC.
I'm afraid of what I may or may not find there.
::sigh::
