Ahh, wrapping.
And the Christmas magic commences....
I going to now take a hiatus from my holiday hiatus to recap how I've been spending my hiatus from the prison.

On Friday, Heather picked Allie and I up, and we went to Sacred Grounds with Jamie and Christina. And we ended up lost, on our way into NJ and NY, but thankfully we made it, even if we didn't get there till 9:00. Not many people showed up at the show, but the majority of the crowd were friends/groupies/cult members of the band The Muti-Purpose Solution. I liked the band, but the people dancing were even funnier. It wasn't like hardcore dancing, or just bobbing their heads, or anything; it was full-on dance moves, most of which were synchronized so it looked somewhat like a line of people were doing the electric slide. It was awesome. Later on we hung out with Marc K. which was neato cause I didn't even think shows were his 'bag,'

Saturday was haha, umm, interesting.
Funny story: Okay, so in the morning I went to the city with Melissa and Alex to do some shopping, then we came home and I got all spiffy and dressed to the nines and whatnot for the annual holiday stepfamily dinner. We went to the Yardley Inn, which for those of you don't know such a place, it's an extremely fancy restaurant, with gourmet food and 10 waiters to our private reserved room. So anyway, this year we were passing the champagne bottle around the table and my step-aunt's boyfriend poured me a glass. I thought my parents weren't going to be too happy about this, but it was only a glass, so I guess they didn't care. Later on, my mom ordered wine, drank but 2 sips, and let me try it. Yeah, well I ended up finishing up her glass, my glass, and my stepfathers glass. Hehe, I was buzzed. I guess since I never drank before it kinda hit me hard or something, cause its not like I had that much. But anyway, after dinner I went over Heather's house for her birthday party which was really fun till Lauren tried to force feed me coffee. I had already had 5 cups of coffee that day cause I didn't think I'd be able to stay awake during the dull yet yummy dinner, and I wasn't about to have a 6th. After Heather's I ended up sleeping over Lauren's so we could go in the hot tub, but the heat turned off and it was ice cold, so when 'happy' little me jumped feet first into the tub in a bikini, well let's just say it wasn't a very happy little surprise.

On Sunday, my mom came to pick up Lauren and I and we went to Target where I got shoes (hehe) and the shoe store next door where Lauren got shoes and then I went home and cleaned. Not a very eventful day, but I got new shoes, so it was well worth it. Oh yeah, and I rented
Dogtown and Z-Boys, this documentary on skateboarding in the 70's. It was amazing -- better yourself and watch it.
Dogtown and Z-Boys:

Today I woke up and watched
Birthday Girl, the Nicole Kidman movie about Russian mail-order brides. The movie was ok, but Nicole Kidman and the guy from Amelie were in it, so if not anything else, it's worth it for that. Later, I went to a 3 minute (literally) orthodontist appointment - gotta love Invisalign - and went over Melissa's house to watch
What To Do In Case of Fire [?] but only after pondering the question mark at the end of the title. On the case it says "WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF FIRE", but in the movie it the title is "WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF FIRE?" This is not correct English. But I think when they translated it into English from German it didn't quite make sense as it would in German, as a question. The answer, nonetheless, it to LET IT BURN. This phase was then spoken at the top of our lungs to Melissa's brother plus friend and probably for the surrounding houses, as well. It was fun. We made pizza, I went home, and now here I am, hiatusing(is that a word?)from the annoyance of sitting on the living room floor, surrounded by a sea of red and green paper, Christmas wrapping for those dear to me.

My mom just informed me it's going to snow and we're gonna have a white Christmas which kinda sucks considering all I'm going to hear for the next two days is that awful Christmas song...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Oh well....back to the wrapping.
