As I booked the ticket home my love to Taipei is growing everyday. Right now I can't imagine how I'm gonna leave this awesome place. Here is the short list about things I liked and hated in here ;)
10 things I can't imagine my life without:
1) 7-11, FamilyMart, High life and so on. Super convenient small shops with everything inside starting from snacks and ending with maybe hairdryers. Open 24 hours a day, so you can have any meal you want during any time of the day. As well as the best after parties ever happend there.
2) Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner out. Nobody is cooking here 'cos it's expensive. It is much cheaper to go out and get some food at the restaurant.
3) Revolver, the Wall, Nangang Factory and other awesome locations for parties with the best music ever. Wednesday to Sunday you can go out everyday as far as you don't have anything better to do.
4) Transportation. Lining up for a bus or mrt is cool. Nowhere else (not even in mainland China) you can be sure to get into a bus even if you are standing first. Also, cheap cabs, 3 euro per person at night. No comments about cabs anymore.
5) Smoking everywhere and cheap fags. I have no idea how I gonna go to any club, get a beer and then I can't smoke. whay the hell?
6) Xie xie bye bye ^^.
7) Friendly and smiling people everywhere, especially the guys who sell milk teas :D
8) Free wi-fi in the mrt, buses, and mrt/bus stations. Not talking about all the cafes, restaurants and other public places.
9) Night markets and bargaining. Even though the stuff like clothes, shoes and accessories are already cheap, you can always try to make it cheaper.
10) Warm weather all year. In winter it was +15, however, it was kinda cold for me, I guess it feels different because of humidity. Still there was no snow! NO SNOW! That's it.
Some stuff I still can't stand, despite I'm here almost 1 year:
1) Slurping. In lots of Asian cultures it is not polite to eat with your mouth shot, it means that the food is not good. I still prefer to eat with foreigners and sit as far as I can from Taiwanese when we are eating :D
2) One particular office, where people are not working at all and only gossiping.
One thing I used to hate, but now I'm okay with: slow people, they are never in a hurry even if they are late somewhere. At first it drove me nuts, but now I'm also late everywhere. (^_^)V
All in all, it was wonderful experience in here, I met amazing people and tried some new stuff lol. I'm sure I'll come back one day.
