Microphone tips needed!
Okay, so I started recording podfics a few years ago, and for most of that time I’ve used my iphone as a recording device. We all know that doesn’t result in the best sound quality, but it wasn’t horrible by any means and it worked just fine for me. Then I tried using my brother’s gaming headset with an attached mic and suddenly I had a much better and easier way to record my podfics. Now I’ve been inactive for a long time and I want to start making them again, but I no longer have access to a headset and I can’t go back to my iphone's sound quality. There’s just no way. So my question is - what type of recording equipment do you suggest I get? I was pretty comfortable with the headphone mic, but I know some podficcers use desktop microphones to record with some pretty good results. It might just be a preference thing, but I'd love some advice!
