Eliminating Noises in Words
I'm quite new to podficcing and hoping someone can help me with a problem I always have when reading. My voice can be perfectly clear for a few sentences and then I'll say a something and you can hear the noise of what I think is the air hitting the mic as I form the sound (I hope that makes sense because I can't think how else to describe it). There doesn't seem to be a pattern to the particular sounds I'm making at the time it happens so I can't adjust my voice to stop it. I'm starting to think it's something to do with my accent and intonation. I've tried repositioning the mic but it's a headset mic and needs to be fairly near my mouth to pick up my voice at a high enough volume, plus you can't hear my breathing or anything in the pauses so I don't think it's that it's too close.
Is there anyway in Audacity to correct for these sounds or lessen them in some way rather than having to record the entire fic again? I've tried rerecording sections but I can never get my voice to sound the same twice so the edited sections are hard to drop in and inevitably I end up with the noise on a different word on the second reading.
