Watching the first few episodes of Gossip Girl, all I knew about it were very vague descriptions of a couple of the characters, and the identity of Gossip Girl. I’m not sure if it’s going to be a thing for me, but if I’d watched it without the big reveal I’d be really curious what it looked like to someone watching with that information, so.
(
episodes 1-3 )
(And yeah, I never meant to say that there weren't ethical violations of Dan being GG, because absolutely there were. I was more thinking of the reactions at the time that Dan being GG means that he was really sociopathic for the entire length of the show, and I'm more of the feeling that yeah he crossed a lot of ethical boundries, but it still kind of works for me and doesn't have to change *that much* about his character IMO. It's just frustrating to me when we get to those episodes that make no sense with Dan=GG)
GG's fixation on Serena definitely gets pretty warped in certain episodes though if you watch it with the reminder that her boyfriend is actually GG
