On a literal level, Dollhouse is a show about the 1%. Rossum attracts its in-house professionals with the promise of being on the cutting edge, certainly, but there’s little chance it doesn’t add an astronomical salary to sweeten the deal. Actually, this reminds me of a comment a friend of mine made recently about how sad she is to see some millenial types be so confidently opposed to working for the extractive financial services industry, but then be super psyched to go work for Google.
