* favorite female character: HAHAHAHA
* prettiest character: obviously I have to eliminate my starry-eyed girl-crush from all the rest of these. I say Tory.
* funniest character: Baltar, natch. Though the highest concentration of laughs/screen time probably goes to Zarek based on Bastille Day alone. QUID PRO QUO, CLARICE! QUID. PRO. QUO.
* favorite season: 2.0
* favorite episode: oooh, tough one! the Pegasus arc is my favorite as a whole, but single episode is 33.
* favorite romantic ship: I think the only canon ship I liked by the end was Billy and Dee. They are love. but generally Laura/everyone else. GIRL, YOU CAN DO BETTER. EVERYONE ELSE IS DEAD AND YOU CAN DO BETTER.
* favorite family ship: I love what we saw of Lee and Zak. as much as I'm repressing everything else about FINALE WHAT FINALE, I related hard to their dynamic.
* favorite friend ship: Helo and Starbuck, I guess? are there any other friendships on this show? besides Frik and Frak-Up.
Angel/Darla EVERYTHING FABULOUS?? all that you have is your soul

Does Gaius/Felix count as a canon ship?

Everyone were sort of friends in season one, and played poker and everything. Otherwise...I dunno. I guess Tyrol/Lee has moments? Kara/Felix?

haha, true. But Tyrol is dead to me, so. I kind of want to go back through the recaps and OBLITERATE all references to Tyrol and Bill. but I feel like that cheapens just how early I was oh so right about Felix and Lee. idk, maybe my spite will win out. it often does.

Yeah, I agree about Tyrol (who is deader to me than Bill, truth), which is odd because I genuinely liked Tyrol up until, um, sometime in 4.5. And the finale just killed it all dead.

I don't even know which of them is deader to me. Objectively Tyrol is worse, I know this. but my Overidentification Issues say otherwise.

I had never really thought too deeply about the way all of 4.5 combines to make Tyrol look bad. I mean, he actually becomes a *traitor* and a murderer when he, what, kills an Eight and lets Boomer go? And oddly that type of thing doesn't bother me, or I mean, it "bothers" me, in that it's clearly wrong, but I also thought it was clearly a desperate move of a desperate guy, for whom Boomer was his One True Love obsession whatever, and who hasn't really processed how much his Cylon-ness has inflected everything he's done. And all that would be dandy if he'd actually not been hauled out and assumed to be a "good guy" again an episode later, and then if they hadn't tried to play his neverending love for Cally making him be Vengeance Man Beyond The Grave. The thing that was poignant, for me, about Tyrol in 4.0 is that he didn't really love Cally (at least not the way he should have), and that that was emotionally gutting after her death, because the guilt layers on top; it completely cheapens that to have him then be an Avenger Of Justice or whatever the frak that was supposed to be. Seriously, because I don't have overidentification issues (my father is estranged, but no one seems to think I should be more like him), I cannot get worked up about anything Bill does the way I can get worked up about that.

YES. EXACTLY. The thing with the Eight was awful, but I felt like it was swept under the rug. Then the destroying the peace treaty was about HIS wife, not about Cally. And yeah, the show really seems to expect me to root for or sympathize with him over it, which is infuriating.
well, also, he seems to have been pretty much Roger Wyndam-Pryce when he was around. which would make me want to cry and cry regardless, but it's like the Tyrol thing in that I'm supposed to overlook it. and of course he was insufficiently appreciative of Laura, so he can suck it.
