Because if it wasn’t up to her then Starbuck - Starbuck! - has been stripped of her agency all this time, at least since she died. And if she is choosing to move on, what, she can just leave Lee like that?

Though, I like to think that Lee does not descend into a neverending spiral of despair and that he actually goes on and is marginally happy, even though I have no idea how he could be after losing Bill, Laura, and Kara.

There's just no interpretation of that scene that doesn't make me angry.
I can't get over how disappointed I am in the Lee situation. I HAVE HAD KIND OF A ROCKY ROAD WITH THIS KID. So for it to end on such a bad note just when I was really getting positive about him takes away a lot of my enjoyment. And also, you know, I was identifying with him so strongly, so to see him just randomly revert to where he was five years ago, I kind of took it hard, like STOP TRYING TO BE A BETTER PERSON, IT WILL NEVER WORK.
