WHY DOES HE WANT ME TO HATE HIM? WHYYYYY? Lee has had great character growth. He's learned! He has stepped back from this bullshit! I seriously was coming around to him. AND WHAT DOES HE DO? DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN BUT 100X WORSE. SHUT UP, LEE.

Laura's cancer back is because he realized that he was under-utilizing Mary and couldn't figure out what else to do.

*cries* I mean, yeah, the show hasn't been using her enough, because it hasn't been having enough Roslin doing what Roslin does best. We couldn't have seen some of that TRC at work? This! This!

I asked Jamie Bamber about Gaius being a Christ figure

Oooh, intrigued! JAMIE I OBJECTIFY YOU FOR YOUR BRAIN. AND THAT VOIIIIIIIIICE.

LAURA'S STRAIGHT HAIR IN THE OPERA HOUSE

IKR and she finally gets some new clooooooooothes so pretty!

AHAHAHA I CAN'T WAIT 'TIL anythingbutgrey GETS HERE. DISCUSSIONS WILL BE HAD.

I don't know. I agree with your assessments, but disagree at the same time. Mostly because unlike you, I find Lee's headspace really easy to slip into. (Whereas Roslin not so much. THE CONTRASTINESS.) For instance:

But when he gets up on his motherfuckin high horse to wag his finger at all of the lesser people, and doesn’t think through what the ever-loving fuck it is that he’s doing, that annoys the shit out of me.

See, I don't agree with this interpretation that everybody else is 'lesser' to him. I mean, not just in this instance, but in general. The person that Lee judges the hardest is himself. And he has exceptionally high standards for everything (because who is he), which means he is always 98% dissatisfied with his achievements leading to all that angsting we can see he is so good at. Where he fucks up is that he constantly projects his frustration with himself at everyone else. Which, you have noted, with the "I wish I could make you understand" to Dee, where ( ... )

DON'T APOLOGIZE, I THINK YOU TALK JUST ENOUGH. :)

I don't think it's about refusing responsibility for what he did to Laura, per se. It's that when he is put in the exact same situation he put her in - someone posed a question that would have unpleasant ramifications for everyone but especially him - that's the moment he decides to start yelling FUCK THE POLICE! when he can't handle going through exactly what he did to her. When he expects her to answer the question posed because she's subject to the law, and then won't do the same thing, he is suggesting that he's above the law BECAUSE HE IS LEE ADAMA OF THE MANY MORAL CONVICTIONS and he is smart enough to know that is absolutely unfair ( ... )

Aha, point. Though, I tend to think it's about timing there. For instance, if he were put on the stand before having to interrogate Laura, he would probably not have caused a ruckus. It's doing what he did to Laura, having Dee walk out on him, and being in a state of I AM WRONG WHAT TO DO that makes him snap. His refusal to participate with the system at this point is him more or less trying make up for the wrongness before. And... he does it by totally stealing the spotlight and failing to actually apologise to Laura directly, but natch.

I don't even think he's quite impulsive in a crisis the way he's impulsive here. I think he thinks quickly and well on his feet.

Ah, my bad - I didn't mean in military crises so much, but in just any situation in which he has to defend himself (those sorts of situations being ones where ( ... )

It's just...I agree with his ideals. If Lee and I sat down behind the veil of ignorance and tried to come up with a government from scratch, I am not sure we would even have anything to argue about, except maybe the best way of doing the stuff we wanted to do. I agree with what he wants, and I admire that he can picture it so thoroughly, I do ( ... )
