Dear friend,
I am writing to you again, as part of my therapeutic punishment from the Hokage. I don't require you to listen to my words, but I also wouldn't mind if you did. This week's assignment is to describe the good and bad qualities of the other person - Crow.
Let's start with the bad. Crow is, without a doubt, lazy. In regards to anything other than a mission, Crow will take his sweet time to arrive at an appointment, finding no problem in being several hours late for a lunch date with his old team. In fact, his laziness is such a big problem that he lays around reading porn, rarely bothers going to the grocery store for food, doesn't complete his mission reports until days after the due date, and regularly misses his physical checkups to the point I have to hunt him down at his apartment and wake up him when it's four in the afternoon. Crow also has this bad habit of pushing the bill on his team when we go out to eat! He was the one who offered to treat us last week!
Anyway... he's irritating, to say in the least. He's also really harsh as a teacher and team leader, but how can I really expect any less when he's as famous as he is across the world. Then there are my two teammates whose names are possibly more recognized than Crow's. Though, because of that, he probably doesn't understand emotions. Or he understands it too well because of his past that he's grown accustomed to simply avoiding the natural tendency to express emotions of any kind. There isn't a need to see what's under his mask anymore. No one really expects him to smile.
He has his good moments, though. When there is that rare moment when he'll smile, he'll actually give his “happy eye” gesture, like a drawn-out wink. Sometimes, it's cute. Sometimes, it means he's going to make us train for 48 hours straight. Crow doesn't try to burn our bodies into perfect shape, like some other green-spandex-wearing leader. Crow sincerely cares for our talents and skills. He takes the time to create the best training exercises to improve our abilities, and he challenges us mentally as well. He also has a few specific rules that he taught us to live by, which earned a lot of respect from me and my teammates when we were younger. Plus, he's quite daring. He'll take a challenge, and figure out the best method of resolution within seconds. If I wasn't his student, it would be intimidating. But knowing him as good as I do now, it's really inspiring. (Don't tell him I'm saying this, even if you figure out who “Crow” is. I'll have to kill you anyway. Seriously.)
Outside of work...I'm not sure what good qualities Crow has. I haven't really thought about what kind of person he can be when he's not giving me orders. He cares for his friends, but not enough to go visit them unless asked. I doubt Crow is very responsible, but I know he is kind. He pats me on the head to compliment me, and sometimes he'll wink and share an inside joke with me, to make fun of my loud-mouthed teammate. Every now and then, he makes a dirty joke, but I think he probably gets that from those Icha Icha books. I suppose I haven't really considered what kind of person he is outside of work... or maybe he simply doesn't have many good qualities.
I apologize for rambling. I guess I wrote quite a bit, though I still feel like I haven't explained enough of what kind of person Crow is. Simply put, to me, he's one of my most important role models. A lazy one, but a role model nonetheless.
It's possible you dumped this in the trash already. If that's the case, then I don't mind one bit.
But if you actually took the time to read this, then thank you.
Thank you for listening to my words.
Sakura
