Gawddammit! How many more times are they going to say “Welcome to Torchwood,” “We're Torchwood,” “This is Torchwood,” TorchwoodTorchwoodTorchwood... GRAGH! Stop it! We get that you're Torchwood! We already established this in season 1, episode 1, and for those just tuning in, I think they get the picture after they see the title credits! GAWD!

Nooooooo! I actually really liked that scene. I thought it was intense, despite the fact we know Jack wouldn't die or else us fans would cause a riot in the streets. Us hardcore Whoverse fans have already seen Jack's death. If the future is suddenly rewritten, we will find those writers and take them out we will be very angry O_O
Anyway, this scene reminded me of a story John Barrowman talked about in his book Anything Goes, about how everyone was smoking on a non-smoking plane flight with him and he faked nearly passing out in order to get them to stop.
Esther
Develop more, please? I know you have it in you, and I know you're trying, but your American co-stars (who are also developing themselves) are taking away your developing time. Esther really reminds me of Lois from CoE, only less cool.

Story & farewells
Although we got a tiny bit further, I'm still not impressed. Most of the time it's been:
Americans: ppl r not dying!
Jack & Gwen: Stop trying to kill us!
Seriously, the plot seems to be moving nowhere. I am keeping up my hopes that things will start to make sense. BTW, I have not seen a single new alien nor new alien technology, which is what the show is all about. I've seen a few explosions caused by Earth tech, a mystery that still hasn't been nearly explained, evil people trying to take out Torchwood, and a sick Harkness (D8>).
Pleasepleaseplease let the next episode answer a question or two, or at least allow the plot to move forward.
