Illusion of Sunlight

Yes, I wrote a "Back to the Future" Fanfic with slash! What are you gonna do about it? Sorry to ruin your childhood, but considering how I only just saw the movie, the people on livejournal have corrupted me, and I'm  just weird like that how do you expect me not to? However, I do promise I won't ever do it again. I just ahd to get this pairing off my chest in a oneshot.

Title: Illusion of Sunlight
Fandom: BTTF
Pairing: one-sided young!George/Marty
Rating: PG, for incest reasons
Genre: Angst/romance/fluff
Inspiration: Trading Yesterday's "Shattered". Yes, I was listening to this song and the idea came to me. Honestly, it did. The line that got me the most was the "rejecting your love" bit. Listen to it!
Summery: George feels brave around Marty. Oneshot.
Additional Author's notes: See the above paragraph for any other explanations. I pretty much wrote this for the heck of it.

Illusion of Sunlight

Marty was talking about Lorraine again. They were in George's room, discussing some way to ask her to the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, and quite frankly George was getting a little tired of the topic. Sure, Lorraine was a beautiful girl who George admitted felt slightly attracted to. And yet, he really wished Marty would stop pestering him about it.

In fact, as Marty rambled, George couldn't help but examine him. The sky-blue eyes, the boyish smile, that soft brown hair...

“George? George, buddy?” Marty snapped his fingers in front of George's face, “You in there buddy?”

That was another thing. Marty treated him as if they were old friends and yet he only met him a few days ago. Then again, Marty was the closest thing he ever had to a friend. Then why did he feel like melting butter when he was around him sometimes?

“Yeah, I'm here. I just... just thinking.”

“About what?” asked Marty.

George never felt as brave as he did at this moment.

“This,” he said, leaning forward and kissing Marty right on the lips.

Marty's eyes widened, quickly pulling back.

“I'm sorry. I just-”

“It's okay, George,” Marty broke eye contact for a moment, quickly getting to his feet, “I have to go.” He snatched up his vest and put it on. The pang of regret sat in the pit of George's stomach.

“Marty I...”

Eye contact was made again, Marty raised his hands in front of him, “George, it's okay. I just...” He sighed, “We just can't do that. I'll see you tomorrow.”

Marty closed the door behind himself.

It was awkward when the two met the next day. Luckily, seeing Lorraine walking across the cafeteria broke the tension as the two tried to come up with another plan to ask her to the dance.
