I am SO SORRY!

I was lazy.
AND SICK.

Yeah, but mostly lazy.

But, I'll do it right this time. And you let me add a new aspect on this to make it fun.

DAWN OF THE DEAD/Resident Evil style!

W00T!

Oh, and you OWE me for the stuff I put in here. That ego of yours doesn't need to be inflated any more.
~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^
I am not supposed to be here.

I have no clue how I got dragged to the club tonight, or how I suddenly lost track of all 7 of my friends minutes after we got in. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life.

THEY SAID WE WERE GOING TO BARNES AND NOBLE, GODDAMN IT.

As soon as I saw them in clothes definitely too much for a bookstore, they abducted me, dressed me up in a black and white lace corset top and a black mini skirt with go-go boots. They had this planned from the get-go. They even teamed up to hold me down as they got me dressed and did my hair and makeup.

I am not supposed to be here.

I'm not supposed to be in a place that can give me brain damage, epilepsy, cancer from second-hand smoke, and cause me to go deaf in both ears, all at the same time. I hate loud noises since they'll give me migraines. Smoke does that to me, too. As well as flashing lights. Holy crap, would you look at that! I'm in a vicinity where it has ALL of that and more!

Great.

I am not supposed to be HERE.

I'm supposed to be looking up more information on something I heard about before, about some chemical plant that went down, but leaked out some harmful toxins really damn close to here. I was really interested in it, since I heard some damn freaky rumors of the poisons being able to warp the anatomy of human, kill it, then re-animate the corpse into a flesh-eating fiend, just like the freaking movies.

I so wanted to check that out, you know, just to be curious.

But, nooo...Had to be here, walking aimlessly through the hordes of people who looked like they were dancing and having seizures at the same time. I at least had the smarts to have my fake ID with me, so if I was going to be here unwillingly, screw it, I'm going to get piss-drunk so I don't remember this hellish night.

I was NOT supposed to be here.

I twitched as I felt someone grab at my ass while I sifted through the masses, and reflex clicked on as I got into Shotokan stance 2 and made a direct back hand to the offender's neck. I didn't even look behind me to know that I had connected with the bastard and caused him pain AND humiliation. I continued on my way, relaxing my muscles with each step. No need to stay tense, just stay alert. I got to the bar, dully noting how it was the VIP one, and ordered the first thing that came to mind, an H-BOMB. The bartender didn't even check my ID, not that I cared anymore.

I was looking at the glasses and racks of drinks behind the counter idly, but something gave me the feeling I was being watched. I looked from the side of my glasses and caught sight of a blonde who looked to be thinking about something important. He was...pretty damn hot, if I do say so myself, wearing a black shirt that might as well have been off to show off that chest of his, and...holy crap, is that leather pants? Well, it clung to him like leather. That just bumped his Hot Rating to Sizzling, that's for sure. God, I wish he wasn't sitting down so I could see his ass. And, he was sneaking glances at me, too.

Hold it!

Just to remind myself.

I AM NOT. SUPPOSED. TO. BE. HERE.

That means, no enjoying yourself.

So talking to him would be out of the question, then, right?

Damn. Too Late.

"See something you like, blondie?" Nothing like catching the culprit red-handed. He finally turns to me fully, not even having the decency to look ashamed, and the smirk on his face makes him look even more hot, in a devilish kind of way.

"Curious, sure. Like? We'll see. What's with the sunglasses? Too bright in here?" Oooh, cutie has an accent, though I have no clue from where, and he has a sense of humor. I'm not offended by his question, it seems innocent enough. And I've heard it so many times before.

"In a sense, yeah, it is. Light sensitivity and what not." He nods, looking actually interested. My drink is suddenly placed in front of me, and I almost completely forgot about it. I reach into my purse, but my new companion beats me to the punch, and pays for the drink. Hey, who am I to complain?

"Just thought I would be a gentleman tonight, if you don't mind?" Its taking all of my willpower not to twitch to sound of his voice. No one should sound so...sexy. I take up my glass and take a sip to distract myself from staring at the guy's blue eyes. And boy, were they blue. Most likely wearing contacts to make them look like a dark azure.

"Mind? Why would I? Hope you'll be a "gentleman" and pay for the next couple drinks after this. I plan on getting plastered tonight." Probably shouldn't have said that, but by his laugh, I guess he didn't care. I should probably get this guy's name. He looks like a keeper.

"Before I drink myself into submission, I should at least know the name of my new bar buddy." He's looking me over, like a hawk to its prey. I should probably be wary of that, but for some reason, I'm not. Oh well.

"Solaris, though Solan slips of the tongue a lot easier. And what about you, Ms. Darkness?" He had a drink that he was calmly going back to every so often. I always did like the Smooth Operator types.

"Xana, though Ms. Darkness does have a ring to it." He already has a nickname for me. I'm really liking this.

"So, if you're sensitive to light, how'd you manage to come here? Not exactly the best choice, if you know what I mean." Wow, he's a smart one. I wasn't prepared to actually meet intelligent men.

"If it had been a choice, you'd be right. Was kind of dragged here on a whim." Hell, I'll be brutally honest if I have to.

"Heh, the "friends" brought you here "for your own good," huh?" He even had the finger-quotes. I couldn't hide my smile.

"Yeah. With friends like that, enemies seem to be the least of my worries." We both laughed at that, and I found myself enjoying his company even more.

"Well, if clubs aren't your thing, something tells me I won't be seeing you around here if you can help it. So, what do you like?" I barely noticed how he seemed to have moved closer to me than he was before.

"Well, I'd more likely be in a videogame arcade than here." Solan seemed to light up a little bit more after that statement. From there, we went into a pretty pleasant conversation about games that lasted almost the entire night. True to his promise, the drinks kept coming, though I only had two more. I suddenly didn't want to get drunk and forget how good of a time I was having with him.

I am not supposed to be here...

But now I'm damn glad I came.
