Oh man. So tired! A couple things before I go to bed, though:

one; I know that many of you are starting NaNo, so GOOD LUCK. For serious! I'm not doing it properly this year, rather, I'm going to try and work through my senior project with the time I'd normally devote to NaNo. (Which, by the way, is still hanging out at cwr4990 along with moonsheen's!) But best wishes to all of you who ARE doing it. I think I might miss the stress and insanity of writing a huge project at the exact same time as so many other people.

two; This week's issue is up on PurchaseIndy.com and you should all check out the awesome scrollbar and pretty cover. There is no print issue this week because our photocopiers are all broken, so we got out of the office hella early tonight. I'm still exhausted though. I only got a few hours of sleep last night, and I got none the night before, and my brain is just about fried.

three; Tomorrow? I might rant a little about what the first amendment entails. Specifically? I will be reminding everyone that just because you don't like what someone says doesn't mean that they should be punished for saying it. (Long story. Which I will explain tomorrow.)

four; Speaking of Senior Project...
"I'll call you back, Felicity, someone's at the door," Danny said with a sigh, hanging up the phone before she could protest. The last thing he needed was to be roped into listening to her deconstruct his relationship for another hour. He put his computer back on the coffeetable and trudged across the room, wondering who the hell would be knocking already. A glance through the peephole gave him his answer, but not one that he would have ever expected.

"Richard?" he said in confusion once he pulled the door open.

Richard Pratchett hugged him briefly in greeting, saying, "Danny! Good to see you, son."

Danny rubbed the back of his head once Richard had pulled away. "This is... unexpected," Danny said, throwing him a quirky smile. "If I had known you were coming I'd have, I don't know, cleaned a little, at least."

Richard frowned. "You mean Alan didn't tell you? I spoke to him last night. I was in Burlington for business and thought I'd swing down."

Danny covered his face with his hands. He had been afraid of that. "Richard?" he asked, his voice muffled by the cuffs of his sweater. "I think I need to talk to you. About Alan."

Oh, Danny and Alan's Dad. You have the best ever conversations and I can't wait to finish this one.

But now, I really, really think I need to go to bed. Work in the morning, and all.
