studio 60, a west wing question, and a meme. i'm a loser.
I gotta admit, I get a little giddy everytime I see a spot for Studio 60. Even if it's just a ten second filler bit while watching USA or NBC. If it's possible, I'm even MORE giddy after having seen the pilot, which finally happened on Thursday night, thanks to Steve, who I owe my very soul to at this point. I have a gazillion things to say about it, but most of it amounts to "OMG SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!" My only qualm is that I loved Amanda Peet while watching her, but looking back, she doesn't seem all that conniving enough? I think I'd like her more if she were either conniving or more like Dana. We'll see. The other thing that bothered me was that they cut down Simon and Tom's little banter section, thus removing a Pippin joke. And I feel like I'm going to love Simon and Tom a whole lot, so I would have liked to see more of them in the pilot.
Also, a question for any TWW fans out there. It could be seen as a sort of spoiler for season seven, which I know some of you haven't seen yet, so I'll cut it, but the actual question has more to do with season six? Who is the last person we see in the Deputy CoS position? Is it Cliff or is there someone else after that? I have to admit, I wasn't as attentive to the last three years as I could have been.
Anyway, whether or not I get this question answered really determines whether or not I finish a fic tonight.

Today's my last full day at home. Tomorrow I'm heading back to Purchase for the semester (as opposed to Thursday, when I headed back to Purchase for two days to work on the paper and reconnect with two-thirds of the rest of the editing team for this year).
As for my interviews, I might have the best internship EVER lined up, if a final interview on Tuesday goes well. We'll see what happens.
The only problem is that it's unpaid and I am BROKE, as you can tell from the use of both caps AND Italics.
Anyway, back to doing nothing but eating Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chex Mix (damn you, smileyismyname!)
