Honestly, Theodore Roosevelt makes me so happy. You have no idea. TR trivia, TR stories, TR quotes... he just makes me positively giddy!
I had to go get a physical today and I sat down in the waiting room and the first thing I saw was a copy of Kids Discover that was all about TR. It was funny, because I had just been thinking about how awesome Kids Discover was, so I picked it up and read the whole thing. It was mostly stuff I already knew, but just reading it made me grin. Like the Great White Fleet. He sent the navy all around the world just to say "Hi! Look how cool we are!" Who does that? I'll tell you who does that, TR does that. Remember when he made the US Army finish the Panama Canal? And when he made foreign dignitaries participate in point-to-point hikes with his kids (basically? You draw a line conneting two places and you have to walk straight from one place to the other, no matter what obstacles were in the way)? And how Kermit brought a pony into the White House? And how Alice smoked cigarettes in public and drove in automobiles at frightening speeds of up to twenty-five miles per hour? Or how TR wrote forty books?
Wow. I have two TR icons. Does that make me a dork?

So I had this weird dream that courtney_beth and I were walking around Lake Parsippany, over my by old house, and there was... I dunno, something. And the TDS correspondants, plus Jon and Stephen, were doing something over by the lake. We kind of timidly went over to talk to them because we really wanted to talk to Rob because we had a picture with him we wanted him to sign (?). And these people were discouraging us from talking to Jon because he was busy and we were like, "We want to see Rob!" but he mysteriously disappeared so we had to wait for him like tools.
BUT. Nate Corddry was there. And I kind of geekily gushed to him about Aaron Sorkin and he geekily gushed back and we had a really nice conversation about TWW and Sports Night and how great Studio 60 was going to be.
And then my dad woke me up.
But the weird part is that I haven't been to that area of the lake in... a very long time. It's very out of the way, not somewhere that you pass unless you live in the area. Well, today I bought some groceries for my grandmother (who lives on the same street we used to live on) and was bringing them over. I accidently missed her driveway, so I drove down a side-street to loop back around and found myself at the EXACT place Jon and co. were at in my dream.
Weird.

Next week I observe some chemistry classes for my senior project. I predict I will want to kill myself halfway through the morning. I HATE mornings. >_<

So my sunburn? Makes me look like an IDIOT. It's not bathing-suit sunburn, it's t-shirt sunburn. My shoulders are still pasty white and my arms are bright pink. I look so stupid. Luckily, though, it's babydoll t-shirt sunburn, so when I wear a regular t-shirt you can't tell.
