I'M SO CONTINUOUSLY MAD ABOUT PEOPLE TALKING OUT THEIR ASSES ABOUT FIFTY SHADES OF GREY THAT I'M GOING TO CUT A BITCH.

Do people not understand how ridiculous they sound when they talk? How condescending? Implying that the exact same story in fandom is okay because some people use warnings, but once it's published it's horrible because women will read it unknowingly? Like. What? WHAT? WHAT? I really feel like the implication there is that people in fandom are smart enough to know better and people who read published fiction are too stupid to tell fantasy from reality >:(
I need to be better about not scrolling down the first page of tumblr when I go on to check my notes because I would like some day to talk about/think about something other than stupid stupid book ever again and every time I go on there I see at least one post calling for a boycott/begging us to protect THE WOMENFOLK and I need to NOT die of a rage aneurysm at work.
I'm trying really hard to take Anna's advice and not engage with anyone who hasn't read the whole thing, but I just want to angrily go in and defend this stupid garbage book full of garbage. This is what my life has become. I'M REALLY MAD ABOUT IT.
