This was originally much more innuendo-laden and filled with a whole aside about Charles' virginity, but the details of those bits disappeared from my brain between coming up with the idea in the car this afternoon and sitting down to write. Oh well!

I had all this stuff that I wanted to put into their conversation about their courtship and their plans and Charles admitting he's a virgin and Erik being SO SURPRISED, and Charles being super blasé about it because DUH he's eighteen and been busy with school and society, obviously he's not been doing improper things. (But he's also a telepath and has a zillion books at his disposal and went to an all boys boarding school so yes, obviously he knows exactly what he's missing in detail, he just hasn't gotten to it yet.)
