"is that sid?" "now it feels like a real trip to go apple picking!"

Hello, internet! We went apple-picking today!

When I wrote some sense of touch and a melody, it was very surprising for me to learn via comments that...apple-picking isn't a thing everywhere? I mean, logically, that makes sense! Apples don't grow everywhere! But it was definitely a very common thing in my childhood, and though we didn't go every year, we went frequently enough that it was something we could semi-reliably look forward to.

Since moving to Boston, I've gone every year with mcwonthelottery. This year, we went with our friends Tina and Decklin and once again managed to accidentally sync our visit up with an airshow that was happening the same weekend!

We picked a lot of apples and then had an adventure trying to drive back to the farm store and then bought lots of cider doughnuts and cider and honey and things. I went over to say hello to the goats. When I walked up to the fence, this one came right over and got up next to me and basically posed for that picture, probably because he thought I had food. I didn't. Sorry, buddy.

On the way home, we drove by Sid's Airport! It was very exciting. Becca thought she saw Sid! I...did not see him because I was driving, but I saw the airport, and that's what counts.

Then we came home and built out new couch and vegged. Good Saturday!

I am having some problems writing recently :\ I'm not sure if it's all in my head because I'm so paranoid about writer's block, or if it's actual writer's block. I'm trying to push through, because I really want to have this story done before Halloween, but I'm feeling all around pretty terrible about everything I try to produce lately, so...we'll see.

Ugh, brains. I hope this isn't the start of an episode. That would blow.

writing: is hard, cardigan central, sid's airport
