Hello, internet! So how about that snow?
Soooo for those of you not keeping track at home, New England was punched in the face by a fuckton of snow over the past twenty-four hours. The MBTA closed down at 3pm yesterday and there was a state driving ban in effect around 7pm. Cardigan Central didn't have work, so we settled in with our computers and comic books and internet and disaster movies to ride it out.
A lot fell over night and even more fell this morning.
That was at about 9pm last night. You see that Prius under the tree? That's my car. Keep your eye on it.
That was at about 11pm last night. Some accumulation. Car is still visible and car shaped.
This was 7am this morning. Lots of accumulation. Still snowing. Car being sucked into white landscape.
11am this morning. WHAT CAR? SNOW IS LEVEL ALMOST UP TO OUR FRONT STOOP.
So, yes. There's some snow in these parts. They say our town got 28 inches and we're inclined to agree with them.
That has pretty much been the only excitement here, aside from a phone call from my parents. It's been quiet and cold and last night we watched some bad movies. I re-read all of X-Treme X-Men and spammed Tumblr with it. I...tried on one of the million pair of knee socks my mother bought me. We made waffles this morning.
