"when did you write that last part?" "in the car." "freak."

Hello, internet.

I have been SUPER BUSY at work, basically non-stop this week. I'm exhausted. I have a million things to post about. I haven't been writing. I haven't been sleeping. I want to curl up and nap for two weeks straight.

I will update you on all of that later. For now, I have a super important sandwich poll.

***

I grew up in New Jersey. Obvs. In New Jersey, if you wanted, say, a turkey sandwich, you'd go to a deli. At the deli, you'd tell the dude what you wanted for lunch and they would take the turkey and cheese out of a case, slice off as much as they needed for your sandwich, and put it on your choice of bread with your choice of condiments and additions (lettuce, tomato, onions, etc). Generally, this sandwich would be wrapped in foil or paper and handed to you, slightly grease stained by the gloves the deli dude was wearing, which had made a million Italian subs with oil and vinegar, and frequently sold in a combo deal with chips and a soda.

Since moving to Boston, I've found that this is a slightly different process. I have never seen someone freshly slice meat at a deli here. Never. And it can't be a coincidence that I have yet to have a really good sub sandwich here in Boston. I was talking to brilligspoons about this and she agreed with my findings, so I thought I'd cast the net a little wider, as it were.

Please take this super important poll about sub sandwiches (/grinders/hoagies/etc).

THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTS ON SANDWICHES. I APPRECIATE THEM.
