the BEAT THE HEAT comment fest!
It's the first week of summer in the northern hemisphere and my part of the world has decided to celebrate this fact with a freak heatwave. Thanks a lot, summer. Way to ease us into it.
But you know what makes everything better? COMMENT FESTS. It's a proven fact. Right now, in fancy universities, they are investigating using comment fests to cure the common cold*. Similarly, comment fests make heatwaves better, because what better way to trick yourself into feeling cooler than offering some relief from the heat to your favorite characters? Or, alternately, torturing them by turning up the heat might provide some cool, refreshing schadenfreude.
From now until Sunday night, feel free to post fic, art, mixes, or whatever the fuck you want in the comments of this entry to the tune of beating the heat. You don't have to be expiring from record high temperatures to play, so please join in, Southern Hemisphere friends! You can write about your OTP at the beach or your favorite gen buddies bemoaning their sunburn. Any fandom. Any pairing. Whatever you want.
Feel free to tell all your friends! Tell anyone you want! No minimum or maximum length. The only rules are be kind to each other and no character[/ship/fandom/whatev] bashing.

(Or something like that. As long as all that information's there, it doesn't have to be exact.)
You can either write you ficlet or post your art/mix/rec list/recipe/whatever in the comment or you can link to another entry where it's posted. I'm not super picky! Again, it's multi-fandom, so make sure you tell everyone you know. I hear sky-writing is coming back into style!
