boston/cambridge area roommate! also, other things!

Hello, internet! It's Wednesday! My boss and Doug are at a conference off-site and I've still talked to Doug five times since 8:30. It's going to be that kind of day. I have to go to Worcester tomorrow, internet, and it's Thursday. That's just generally unfair, I feel.

Mostly, though, this entry is to help YOU. Is anyone looking to move to Boston/Cambridge at the end of August? Do you know anyone who needs a nice nerd/queer/lady/fandom friendly roommate in this area? If you do, I have the roommate for you!

metonymy is looking for a new roommate starting mid- to late August. She is pretty great! I have personally eaten food with her on more than one occasion, and she has good opinions about things like Leslie Knope and Star Wars. She made little sandwiches for my birthday party and they were delicious.

Here is what she says about the room:

You would be getting the biggest of two rooms in a first-floor apartment in Cambridge. This room is HEEYUGE; it's bigger than our living room. It gets a ton of natural light, has a ceiling fan, and the whole apartment has hardwood floors. The room is just off the living room and has French doors with pulldown shades over them. Bathroom with decent water pressure in the shower, admittedly tiny and irksome kitchen with gas stove, but plenty of space in the dining area and the cozy living room (with a foldout couch that is staying and good for guests). The rent is $775 per month with heat and hot water included. Utilities are usually pretty low; right now we have high-speed internet and no cable, but I'm open to changing that around. There is coin-op laundry in the basement. The leasing company's maintenance service has been super responsive, usually coming to take care of non-emergency problems in about one day. The building is mostly other "young professionals" and students.

Comment if you have any questions, etc and I will put you in contact with Naomi!

In reverse bang news, I have finished the first draft of the bulk of the stoy. All that's left is the epilogue. Hopefully, my betas will be able to look at it sometime before the weekend and then I can do the final polish and be totally ready by the time posting starts. It's kind of weird not to be totally stressed over a deadline, but there you go. This is so weird. It's like that year I finished yuletide like, three days early.

Anyway, back to writing the epilogue! WATCH THIS SPACE. This weekend there may be a cuddle fest to make up for the 3700 words I had to write where Charles and Erik couldn't communicate or touch.

pimping, work: office girl, i guess i'm in xmen: fc fandom now, writing: is hard
