home again home again
So, we had an exciting trip home. For those of you who don't live on the East Coast of the US and have also been in a sensory deprivation chamber since Friday, it randomly snowed a lot yesterday. quatredeathlady's party sort of...ground to a halt because of it. The five of us were already there, so there was still a party, just...about a fourth of the size it was going to be. It was crazy snowing, guys. They probably got at least a foot out there in Orange County, NY.
Anyway, the roads were fine and most of it was melting/melted by the time we left. We would have made it home in record time if we hadn't tried to stop for food.
Most of Connecticut is out of power. Which sucks for them. And also for the idiots who pulled off the highway to try and find somewhere to have dinner, only to end up stuck in traffic for forty-five minutes, unable to find somewhere with less than a forty-five minute wait.
Long story short, we did this twice, I was so hungry/stressed/tired/dealing with the emotional fall out of stressing over baking for a week and also being sick/etc that I was literally crying more than once. It was mortifyingly hilarious. Luckily, I was with mcwonthelottery and threeforgirls, who spend every day with me and are used to my crazy.
I will post more pictures/about the actual party later. I....mostly am bored and forcing myself to stay up for another forty minutes, and thought I'd post to see how all of you are doing.
