I am making ALL THE PHOTOCOPIES on our photocopier than is my arch-nemesis. Hurrah? There is an ice cream social today, though, and ice cream is always the best. Then I have to pack and stuff from Caitlin and Joe's wedding. And maybe do at least one load of laundry so I have clothes to wear when I get back home

There are many Canton ones, but most of them are on my harddrive, w0e. Here is one that's in my GMail drafts. This is from "canton summer vacation":
"Right," Canton says, handing Rory his weapon, "You're going to need to know how to fire a gun."
"The Doctor doesn't really like guns," Rory says. He holds the weapon between two fingers like he's going to catch something from it. Canton can't help but roll his eyes. Sometimes Rory reminds him very much of David. It must be a medical professional thing.
"Well, the Doctor's not here," Canton reminds him. "And if we're going to get him back, we're going to have to do it my way. Also, you may not want to hold it like that. You don't want it going off accidentally, now, do you?"
The look on Rory's face is almost comical as he shuffles the gun around, trying to hold it in a way that's both safe and keeps it as far away as possible. Medics. They were all the same.

"Gwen," the woman said in a warning tone.
"It's just a scratch!" Gwen insisted again. A beat. "Don't tell Rhys."
The other woman rolled her eyes and unceremoniously yanked Gwen out of Jack's arms, lifting her as if she weighed nothing and placing her on the exam table.
"Captain, if you would get the scanner and laser scalpel, I would greatly appreciate it," she said. Jack was about to ask her where they were kept, but Ianto was already moving towards the cabinets. Right. Jack wasn't the captain, here.
"Um, actually-"
They all turned to Rory, who was hovering in the doorway.
"I'm a nurse," Rory said. "I mean... I was a nurse. On Earth. In the twenty-first century. But maybe I can help?"
"Thank the stars, you've finally brought me medical help!" the woman said. She patted Gwen on the thigh and then offered her hand to Rory. "I'm Ameedan Orignon. Please call me Meeda. Call I'm the ship's medic. Your knowledge may be a little antiquated, but you're better than the Captain, as well-intentioned as he may be." She waved distractedly at Ianto. "Love, give those to-"
"Rory Williams," Rory prompted.
"Right," Meeda said. "Give those to Rory and leave us to Gwen. We shouldn't be more than two shakes."
