I'm just a meme making machine these days. I blame boredom and a flist size disproportionate to both my actual talent and my ability to entertain.

The "I'm so AWESOME" Meme!Guys, what is the best fic you've ever written? The one you wish you could show everyone you meet so they would know how awesome you are? Not the fic that's gone over best or ( Read more... )

For Inception, I have a particular fondness for The Age of Blossoms. [Arthur/Robert, Eames/Ariadne, eventual Arthur/Eames] I may never be able to duplicate the emotions and the melancholy beautiful mood that pervaded those sentences.

For X-Men First Class, it's "Love Love" [eventual Charles/Erik]. Begin with Part One, Back down to the earth. My best attempt at a fix-it fic for the events of the beach. I've come closer to writing Charles since then, but I really kind of like my Erik voice in it. :D He will always be the more difficult character to really pull off properly - and this series was the first time I managed it.

This sounds WONDERFUL. I'm reading it as soon as I get home from work.

OK, if we're talking about fic we've posted, as opposed to languishing half-finished on our hard drives, or unfinished RPGs, then the winner is easy:

It Creeps Up On YouTorchwood, Tosh/Owen, crossdressing & pegging ( ... )

Um I'm pretty sure my Erik + Ron fic is the most awesome thing I've ever written. Like seriously I should just retire from fandom now.

Also I like This Mutant Life, in which Ira Glass interviews an original character about the Brotherhood of Mutants, way more than I should actually admit to ever. But I feel like it pretty accurately captures Ira Glass's voice and I just like thinking about how mutants would be portrayed ~in the real world~ by which I mean public radio and the internet.

Overall I'm actually just humiliatingly fond of the original character I wrote like 250,000 words about in total but I hate talking about it because it's so gauche for an adult lady to have written this epic romance about an original character. But whatever I think she's cool.

I hope you're okay that you're my new hero.

Well, as long as you're okay with having lowered the bar for "hero," I'm totally fine with it ;)

Ooh, I like this idea...

The Black Hole, Veronica Mars, mystery ship (though I'll totally tell anyone, as I outed it somewhere recently), post-series

The thing I love about this is the turning of one scene into something different in a different moment--it's totally a convention of the short story the piece is based around, but i love the idea of taking one scene and changing a small detail to make it something different each time.
