IT'S DOCTOR WHO DAY!

Apr 23, 2011 16:14

Okay, so such_heights was nice enough to let me babble to her via e-mail as I watched. I HAD TO TELL SOMEONE, OKAY? I HAD ALL THESE FEELINGS AND IF I KEPT THEM INSIDE, I WOULD EXPLODE IN A CLOUD OF RAINBOWS AND JOY.

Um, so, yes, I liked it XD

So, anyway, my immediate reactions I'm going to just copy and paste from the email(s) to Amy. Then maybe some more joy/speculation at the end.

First off, what started my emails of squee was this: I started to cry at the memorial card at the beginning. Oh. It just... is still so sad :(

But I tried to ignore the sad and embrace the squee! And here is the rest of my "live-blogging."

I KEEP FLAILING MY HANDS. I'M AFRAID I'LL POKE MY OWN EYE OUT. ALKSFJIOWEAFJLKSD F I WANT TO HUG ALL OF THEM.

AMY. Swearing on fish fingers and custard! RORY AND THE BOAT AND THE TRYING TO BE THE VOICE OF REASON, OH, MY HEART. RIVER TRYING TO KEEP EVERYTHING TOGETHER!

Mark Shephard, continuing his domination of every scifi show ever?

"Hippie!" "Archeologist." HEARTS FOR EYES!

kajsfoiwejafkladsf CLOAKING! ENGINES SILENT! WALKING OUT INTO THE OVAL OFFICE OMG.

There were bits of Tennant and Eccles that were funny, but I can't imagine anyone else doing the hysterically hilarious bits like listening in in the Oval Office the way Matt Smith does. It's hard to make a character who's 900 years old be both serious and wise and also occasionally slapstick at the same time, but Matt Smith nails it every time <3 <3 <3

"The Legs, The Nose, and Mrs. Robinson." "I hate you." alksjfoiwaejflk

MARK SHEPPARD, WHAT EVEN, I KIND OF LOVE YOU. I knew we were right in inviting him to White Collar Con!

I'M GOING TO BREAK A WRIST FROM ALL THE FLAILING.

Jesus, Moffat, continue to create creatures that will haunt my nightmares, why don't you?

alksfjoawef Mark Sheppard, please feel free to hang out with the team whenever you'd like.

COOL SPACE STUFF. OH, ELEVEN. MY FAVORITE. I LOVE YOU MORE THAN NINE.D ON'T TELL ANYONE.

<3 RORY <3

Oh, River :( I'm really glad we watched "Silence in the LIbrary" a few weeks ago (it was "research" for a fic of Becca's) because that made the whole monologue in the tunnels that much more poignant :(

BABIES! AMY AND RORY BABIES. OMG. I HOPE THEY RAISE THEM ON THE TARDIS.

OH MY GOD THOSE PREVIEWS. I DONT' EVEN HAVE WORDS. ALKSFJOIWEAFJLK IS IT NEXT WEEK YET??!!

ANYWAY. Generally I really liked it. Like I kind of figured, the Doctor was the one "marked for death" which is awesome because it creates tension and it's awful, but we know for sure it won't stick, which is always good if you're me XD But, oh god, that scene! Amy and Rory and River and ALL of them. It was so heart-breaking. I knew something was off from the Doctor's interactions and attitude in the beginning there but... oh, it was sad :(

I also loved Amy and Rory just at home, being domesitc ♥

And River in her cell! "Doctor Song is packing again!" Ahahahahaaha I laughed so hard XD I have to admit, I've really come around on River. I'm never going to run the River Song fanclub, but I actively like her now, as opposed to being mildly irritated by her and then vaguely neutral.

I kind of had the impression that Amy was pregnant from the moment she said she'd been feeling sick. Nice way to cover it up by having everyone feel sick after seeing those THINGS THAT WILL HAUNT MY NIGHTMARES. I'm cautiously optimistic about the pregnancy, 'cause I trust Moffat, but I really wish that every time a woman felt sick on a teevee show/in a movie, it didn't automatically mean she was having a baby.

But, omg, Amy/Rory babies! I have stars for eyes ♥

Loooooved Mark Sheppard. Oh man. The whole scene in the Oval Office. The whole bit in the creepy place in Florida. It was just such an awesome season premiere! And, RORY. Rory has so come into his own. And I love him. And Amy. I LOVE EVERYONE, OKAY?

SO excited for next week!
