So, internet, let's talk about how adorbs the new Wimpy Kid movie is! Seriously! My ladyfriend and I saw it on Friday night and it was just as cute as the first one. It played a little fast and loose with the actual story of Roderick Rules (such as it is), but the tone was just right and it didn't feel like it was leaving anything out. Also, the movies consistently make all the characters more sympathetic than they are in the books, which I like. (Not that I DON'T like the books, but I think two hours of a twelve year old kid being a total jackass on screen would be trying.)
Anyway, the movie was super cute and you should go see it. But I know you won't, cause it's the Wimpy Kid movie.
TODAY was pretty awesome. I got up early and met my friend work!Jenny at the Boston Public Library for their book sale! Guys, it was AMAZING. I got a dozen books for $11 including a bunch of brand new hardcovers and some old school Doctor Who paperbacks. It was so cool. They do one every few months and we're already planning to go back to the next one in June!
After buying a gazillion books, we went to the Prudential Center food court for lunch and a show-and-tell about our books. Then we talked for a really long time about writing and reading and work gossip and life and all sorts of shit, and that was lovely. FRIENDS. I HAVE THEM. WHAT EVEN?
(Also, I could tell there was a con this weekend, tho I didn't realize it was MJ, by the people I kept seeing in the food court and then I saw THIS in the bathroom on the door of my stall and I totes stole it and brought it home XD)
But then I came home and ad-blocked the shit out of Barrowman's fucking face and vented a little about stuff on my mind and now here we are. THE END.

I should do some writing because HEY GUYS, I'VE STARTED UP itsproductivity AGAIN!!, but I've had a persistant headache since I got home and it took me hours to write this LJ entry. So instead, I'll probably just sit here, mindlessly refreshing the internet. Wheee.
