Sherlock would have been better with dinosaurs

I find myself in a mope, internet. For various reasons. So I'm going to repoint you to this meme and spare you the usual flocked "no one really likes me" rant. Instead, I will talk about Sherlock.

Guys. I'm disappointed.

I mean, there were things I really liked, most of which had to do with Holmes and Watson, especially the beginning when Watson was yelling at the self-checkout, but overall, I wasn't impressed. Once again, I solved the mystery before Holmes and Watson (which is ANNOYING) and I feel like there wasn't any significant character development. I thought they were going there when Watson started to ask to borrow money, but they never explored it further.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I would watch Holmes and Watson just have antics for 90 minutes, but this wasn't even that.

I didn't dislike it, but it didn't live up to my enormously high expectations from the pilot. I can't help but wonder if it was because Moffat wasn't behind the pen or what, but I feel like, in a three episode series, you should either have super twisty mysteries or super interesting character development. Ideally, there'd be both, but given that this is a retread of a classic, I'd settle for one or the other. This episode had neither.

I AM SO EASY, PTB. SO SO EASY. I WANT TO LOVE THIS. PLEASE LET ME LOVE IT. YOU HAVE ONE EPISODE LEFT.
