Oh man, internet, I am ALLERGIC TO LIFE. Or so it seems.
Today I got to go into work TWO HOURS LATE (I also had to leave two and a half hours late, so it wasn't as nice as I made it sound there.). I slept in, I watched some teevee, it was wonderful. I woke up a little congested, but it was no big deal.
UNTIL I STEPPED INTO THE BOOKSTORE.
I swear I must be allergic to the very foundation of The Bookstore or something. Almost as soon as I stepped inside, I got all congested and headachey and runny-nosed and all sorts of shit. Oh, it was awful! I could not stop sneezing all day. People went from making fun of me to feeling really bad for me. Ugh.

We're watching the episode of NCIS with the video camera and the crazy trailer-dwelling drunk for the nine millionth time and I love that everyone and everything ever loves and respects Gibbs. EVEN THE DRUNK'S MANGY DOG. Gibbs is just good at everything.

I haven't written in an embarrassingly long time. I need to stop being so exhausted. Hopefully this weekend's critique group will help. That, and Blog Like It Isn't You Day. I am still brainstorming some things for Keerthi to blog about and trying to get back into her voice.

I am trying to remember when I read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for the first time! I think I must have been in middle school, because I remember buying my copy at a book fair in the middle school library.
I was thinking about it because a couple of reviews I read referred to The True Meaning of Smekday as a H2G2 for the younger set and... I dunno! I think I was pretty young when I first read it. I probably didn't get everything the first time, but I doubt a nine or ten year old would get everything in Smekday the first time through, either. Hell, I'm almost twenty-four and I've discovered new things in it on my second reading.
