Okay, before I get to anything else, I want to do a vid rec for you guys.
isagel posted a vid called The Temptation of John Sheppard yesterday, and it's just BRILLIANT. It made me cry. It's... it's everything that John is in canon. Here's what I wrote in my comment, as I'm starting to slip into a decongestant daze and not too sure of my writing abilities at the moment:
This is just... absolutely stunning. I teared up in a couple of places, but especially the end. Oh my. I think this is one of the most honest portrayals of John's relationship with Rodney that I've ever seen in vid form. He's so resigned and in love and it's just devastating and... wonderful. It really follows the narrative of the show, but telling a different story, the story from John's point of view.
And the song. The song is absolutely haunting. I had heard it before, and it's actually on my Sam/Will playlist, but I had never considered it for John/Rodney. That's STUPID because it fits them so perfectly and just... oh gosh. Highly recommended, guys. If you don't want to DL it, there's a link over there to watch it on iMeem, but believe me, this is one you're going to want on your harddrive.

I went outside a couple of minute ago to try and take a picture of the GIANT TURKEY in our backyard so you guys could get an idea of HOW CLOSE I CAME TO DEATH the other day, but he flew away before I could turn on my camera.
I am excited, though, because it's spring and that means there will be BABY TURKEYS soon. Baby turkeys are the absolute ugliest things you will ever see, but they're so ugly they're adorable.
(I swear I don't live on a farm! There are strip malls just minutes from my house in every direction! My backyard just happens to back into an undeveloped plot of land where animals live.)

Today I am meeting _thebedismade for lunch/cupcakes/wanderings. We were trying to see Seb's show, but it ended up falling through because it was entirely sold out. Oops? That'll teach us to wait until two weeks before to buy tickets? I'm kind of bummed, but I'm sure we'll have an excellent time anyway. We are going to TR's boyhood home! I have wanted to go for SO LONG! :D
