Still writing. Sort of. My aunt took me out to dinner because my parents are annoying the shit out of me.

Post a single sentence from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations. No more than one sentence! There are twenty of them. I'd say it's about 50% original and 50% fannish, with the fannish leaning heavily ( Read more... )

#20 makes me think it's an Iron Man fusion. Am I wrong?

5) Ronon snorted, but thankfully his animalistic art-student need to get laid kept him from sticking around to make another comment about John's cock and Rodney's unnatural obsession with it.

Hee!

Also, I *adore* #1. ADORE. They're all great, but #1 is my favourite :)

Twenty is not an Iron Man fusion, but rather a story about Keller being Rodney's midlife crisis and Rodney trying to figure out a way to get out of it XD

And I am hilariously unsurprised that you love number one, because it's front Will's next Iowa story :D

Re #1: yeah, I figured. Have I mentioned lately how much I love Iowa? ♥

I mean, even though I'm sure it's obvious from the (little) context there is, I also feel like the way I write prose for Iowa is different. Maybe that's just me being crazy, though. My brain goes to a totally different place for Iowa. It's weird!

3) "Battery acid is a 0," Doug said, "so yes. On the bright side, the pain from the bullet wound should eclipse the pain from having his internal organs eaten away by stomach acid."

.... *cries*

Also, numbers 15 & 16 cracked me up :)

I also enjoyed reading all the original ones and trying to figure out where they fit in the Grand Scheme of Things.

It's kind of a hodge-podge of lines from the original canon and lines from the newscaster AU XD It occurs to me that seven and eight are actually from the same story, just two different files. I think you actually read a bunch of these when I was at your place!

Also, oh man, number fifteen. I LOVE that line, almost as much as I love the idea of Will's dad suggesting random royal dudes for him to date XD

Hahaha, speaking of el generalissimo (which is what I call Will's dad in my head - I don't know why), you know what the problem with a fandom where there are three (two? maybe?) people writing in it? ALL OF MY CHARACTERIZATIONS WANT TO BE YOURS. I was writing a sentence and thought to myself, "Will wouldn't say this. That's not how I think of him!" ... And then I realized your Iowa! Will would say that, in my situation. *thunk* I also have to keep reminding myself that whatever crazy antics I consider personal cannon are not, you know, actually real. SAD.

I'm going to go make tea now. And have a mild panic attack. :)

(Also, my new favorite is #2)
