Oh man! Guys, in the past month, someone has edited Will's Wikipedia page and I swear to god it reads as if I edited it myself. I want to marry whoever did it for two reasons:

1) For a very long time, I have been trying to figure out what episode it was that Will asks Leo why he and Bartlet picked Russell in the first place. People have told me that I made this scene up, because no one else remembers it even happening. For awhile, I believed them. I mean, c'mon. If I'm not writing stories where Sam and Will fall in love, I'm writing stories that justify Will's choices to the rest of the staff. Anyway, I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG. According to this Wikipedia edit, it takes place in the episode "365 Days." And. Oh man. I am 100% glad that this actually exists. I don't have S6 to double check it (and I wouldn't anyway, because I hate S6), but... glee!

2) I don't remember there being a "Character Significance" section the last time I looked at Will's page (um, I tend to do this rather frequently), but there's one there now and it mostly talks about how later seasons pit Will's "practicality" against the Bartlet staff's idealism. Which is something that I've bitched about quite a bit. However, someone added this last sentence and... guys, I am going to marry whoever edited this Wikipedia page. Just read it for yourself:
The Josh/Will conflict in particular is an example of a theme that runs throughout the series -- namely, the contrast between two different approaches to politics, Idealistic (Josh backs a long-shot candidate because he believes in the candidate's noble character) versus Practical (Will backs a candidate he is unsure of, because he thinks Russell is the best chance of a Democrat winning the race). Placing Will on the side of compromise and practicality contrasts sharply with his earlier idealism, when the character was introduced running a campaign for a deceased Democrat in a traditionally Republican district, and defending his actions as "a campaign of ideas."

:D :D :D

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I SAID THAT, GUYS? Oh, there is at least one other person in the world who gets it! My heart is filled with love. ♥

will, tww
