Okay, first off, internet, how did none of you tell me that Joss Whedon is writing a horror film and he just cast Brad Whitford? Didn't any of you think that maybe I would be REALLY REALLY INTERESTED IN a HORROR FILM written by JOSS WHEDON with BRAD WHITFORD in it?

Tsk, tsk, internet.

My presentation today at The Bookstore went pretty well, I think. Not as good as the one I did in October, but I was over-prepared for that one because I had never done one before. This one was more of a fly by the seat of my pants kind of thing. I was very comfortable with it, even though one of the teachers had this very disapproving look on her face the entire time. She bought about three of the books I talked about, though, so I think that might just be her normal face.

Everyone said I did a good job, which is nice to hear. Also, everyone was devastated FOR ME about Tuesday, so I got lots of presents from people when I came in. I felt very loved ♥

♥ ♥ Bookstore ♥ ♥

(I will probably never say that again, even though I love my job, so look at it while you can.)

Let's see, what else? I wrote a little bit of my secret project, which is neither a secret, nor a project, but did not write the fic I brought my computer to The Bookstore to work on. I am tired and cold. I wore my sexy pencil skirt, even though no one at The Bookstore appreciates it. (I clearly need a ladyfriend. Badly. I will make that a New Year's Resolution again this year, and then once again fail horribly.)

I added Sam/Will prompts to the Porn Battle. Last round, there were no Sam/Will prompts. I have to learn that when you are in a fandom where only fourteen people ship your ship, you kind of have to do things for yourself. But they are there! Also, Shawn/Gus and some of my lesser SGA ships (Sam/Radek, Sam/Teyla. I think John/Rodney will be pretty covered.), just in case. I should be good, now.

Most of you who would be interested have probably already seen this, but I will link it anyway:

Kate Hewlett, whom I ADORE, has put up the first song of her EP online. You should totally, 100% listen to it. It's here at ReverbNation on a little embeded thingy, which is kind of a pain in my ass because I want to put it on repeat on my iPod for a million years. It is, interestingly enough, very much "my kind of music," so if you don't like hippie folk singer/songwriter crap, you probably won't like it. But you should listen to it anyway. Because I said so.
