I'm becoming one of those people who DVRs Food Network shows (usually Good Eats) with the intention of rewatching and cooking along with the teevee.
(Alton Brown on buttercream frosting! He agrees with me! Box cakes are okay, but frosting should always be from scratch!)

Ugh, now I want cake.

Let's see... still plugging away on the NaNo novel, though less rabidly now that I've hit 50k. Thank you to everyone who congratulated me :) It was a nice accomplishment, especially because this is the time of year when everyone NOT doing NaNo bitches on their journal about how no one ever finishes NaNo anyway, so everyone should shut up about it. HA! FINISHED WITH A WEEK TO SPARE! ::dances::

I'm finding myself in this weird place between fandoms? Or between source materials, I guess. The current season of SGA has been getting me down hardcore (WHY DOES IT SUCK SO MUCH?), Pushing Daisies (though I was never fannish about it, per se) was just canceled, Sanctuary is pretty, but not filling, and... I dunno. My novel,
quatredeathlady's novel, and
ruecian's novel have been taking up most of my brain power lately. When this month is over, I'm going to feel bereft, guys.

Wow, I really have nothing to talk about. I'm going to go back to watching Alton make buttercream and plugging away at the novel. If I finish the section I want today, I'm going to let myself write a story about why Keerthi Pratchett hates Twilight that no one but Nicole and Jenna will care about.
